This dramatic addition and remodel transforms a 1960s brick ranch into an elegant local landmark . Clad in dark metal siding and reclaimed brick with custom steel windows and doors, the simple envelope creates dramatic connections between indoor and outdoor spaces. The two story open kitchen and dining room along with the new upper story study provide views to the nearby lake and the mountains beyond. The Black and White House is an elegant intervention in an established neighborhood that delivers unexpected experiences and discoveries without overwhelming the context around it.
